9/11 Memorial

As a commemoration to the 3,000 people who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks, Morah Ronit watched a video with her 12th grade students. The class saw live footage of the attacks, along with phone calls passengers on the hijacked planes made to family and loved ones. Seniors discussed their thoughts and opinions on the matter. The attacks on September 11, 2001 will never be forgotten.

Interview Ms. Lee

Interviewer: What made you pick Westchester?

Ms Lee: I’ve lived in Westchester County for a long time, so I was excited to hear that there was an opening at Westchester Hebrew High School. Also, I’m an alumna of Iona College, and other teachers formerly enrolled there have spoken well about WHHS.

Interviewer: If there was one thing you could change what would it be? (could be about the school or anything in general)

Ms Lee: If I could change one thing, it would be to spread more compassion. I believe that regardless of any differences in culture or traditions, people can come together to celebrate life. We can coexist without judgment and condemnation

What if??

By Danielle Azani and Bella Rudoy

Danielle Azani is one of my fellow classmates and fortunately my close friend. If I was Danielle Azani, my life would be completely different from the get go. I would be born in Tel Aviv, Israel and travel throughout my life, because my father would be a former diplomat for Israel.
